DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement structured Taekwondo training curriculum for students from beginner through advanced levels, up to 4th Dan Black Belt.
• Instruct group and individual classes emphasizing techniques, forms (poomsae), sparring, and progressive skill development.
• Conduct belt promotion examinations and evaluate student readiness for rank advancement.
• Develop standardized lesson plans and instructional materials to ensure consistency across all training programs.
• Train, mentor, and supervise assistant instructors and junior leaders on teaching methods, curriculum delivery, and class management.
• Design and lead physical conditioning, agility, and strength-training programs to enhance martial arts performance.
• Prepare and coach students for local, regional, and national Taekwondo competitions through specialized training, sparring sessions, and strategy development.
• Enforce safety protocols, injury prevention practices, and proper equipment use during training and competitions.
• Provide student mentorship focused on discipline, goal attainment, confidence, and personal development.
• Support program operations through class scheduling, student coordination, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain professional knowledge of Taekwondo instructional methods, competition rules, and industry standards through continued training and education.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s degree in Taekwondo or Physical Education.

Minimum Experience Requirement: 2 years of Taekwondo instruction experience.

Special Requirements: Must have Kukkiwon 5th Degree Black Belt Certificate.
